Utah Revokes Provo Canyon School's License
Embattled program must close by August 6
As of July 6, 2026, the Utah Department of Health and Human Services has revoked the operating license of Provo Canyon School. All services must be terminated by August 6.
The school has been facing legal trouble since a May 12 incident left a student unconscious and bleeding from the mouth. The Utah DHHS found that the school failed to provide proper access to medical care for the student. You can follow all of our past coverage of the school here.
We have several open records requests pending with the State of Utah. As more details become available, this story will be updated in real time.
At the time of publication, neither Provo Canyon School CEO Tim Marshall nor Springville Site Administrator Dave Campbell have responded to a request for comment. We have also asked them for their plan to transition students and terminate services by the deadline. Any response will be added if and when it comes in.
